Update from Mrs. Bolton:
Dear WCE Families,
I hope by now that your child's teacher has reached out to you and that you now know how to begin accessing resources, either on-line or paper-based, for your child. If you have not heard from your child's teacher by the end of Monday, please let me know. You can always email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please keep in mind that CLASSLINK is the primary way to access all CBISD on-line programs (see previous post for instructions) as well as your child's Google Classroom, Dojo, R101 or Skyward communications from their teacher. We understand that all students do not have equal access to online resources, so to help, we are offering Chrome book pick-ups (which you can schedule using the Google Form in the previous post) on Monday the 23rd. (Also, keep in mind that many internet providers are offering discounted services at this time.) We also are maintaining a supply of paper-based resources that can be picked up in the lobby of the school between 8-4 this week and 9-2 next week.
Our specials teachers are also working on a Google Classroom to provide activities that your child can do to maintain their fine arts and physical education. We will release that information soon.
If your child has medication up at school that you need to pick up, you can come in (one at a time please) to pick up that medication between 9 AM -1 PM on Tuesday the 24th.
Please note that all the resources being provided are just that - resources. We ask that you simply do the best you can in helping your child maintain the skills they have acquired this year, and that they continue to learn as best they can, by completing the work that is provided.
Meals (Lunch and breakfast) will continue to be provided between 10:30-11:30 for all CBISD students, in our back bus-lane for curbside pick-up.
We are also working on pushing out information on how to use our online Follett library system to request specific books for check-out. We will pull the books requested, check them out to you and have them ready for curb-side pick up in the front lobby as well.
Please know that we are here to support your children's continued learning despite our social distance. We miss our students tremendously. If you have a need that we have not addressed, please let us know. We would love the opportunity to meet those needs.
All our love and support,
