Dear WCE Families,

I have a few quick reminders for you.

1) If your child tests positive for COVID, please notify the school nurse, in addition to keeping them home.

2) Many parents are dropping off lunches for students either right as their lunch is beginning or soon after it has already started. We cannot guarantee your child will receive their lunch in time for their lunch if this is the case. Staff on duty in the cafeteria cannot be pulled away from providing ample supervision in order to track down students and have them walk to the office to retrieve their lunches. We also cannot leave the front desk without adequate supervision to deliever those lunches. Please do your best to send your child with their lunch in the morning. If you have an emergency, and must bring their lunch, please do so at least 30 minutes before their lunch begins. And please remember, students can always eat a tray in the cafeteria if they forget their lunch. Our lunch times are as follows:

11:00-11:30 Kindergarten

11:15-11:45 Second Grade

11:30-12:00 Third Grade

11:45-12:15 First Grade

12:00-12:30 Fifth Grade

12:15-12:45 Fourth Grade

Please also remember that lunch guests are not allowed at lunch until Sept. 12th.

3) Grandparent breakfast is next week. Please make sure that the grandparents in your child's life swing by the front office this week to have their ID scanned. Then please call ahead and make a reservation for them to attend the grandparent breakfast for each of your children. Then we can have a badge scanned and ready for them when they arrive. Otherwise, there may be a very long wait.
